History of Aldourie Castle

The castle is built in the Scottish Baronial style. Originally, in the 17th Century, it was serving as mansion house (laird' house) and has been extended with an arts and craft wing in 1903. The estate belonged to the same family but was sold in 2004. The castle is one of the most beautiful private hire properties in Scotland. In the recent years it has been taken under restoration. Since its detailed restoration the Castle has welcomed luxury holiday guests, family groups, couples, weddings and other type of celebrations to experience its wonderful calming ambience.
