Guide to Budapest's Thermal Baths

Among several nicknames of Budapest, that one, which is most known within Relax Holiday Lovers, is the City of Baths and Spa's. Indeed, there are many natural warm spring waters which made Budapest as a great thermal baths destination for many centuries. During the Reign of the Ottoman Empire many baths were made or renovated therefore there are many Turkish baths along the river Danube. But more than a thousand years before the Turks, the Romans and even before them, the Celts have been enjoying the warm spring waters as baths, healing waters and drinks.
There are many Bath & Spa's but we are going to introduce three of them.
Szechenyi Bath
Built in 1913, explore the Neo-Baroque palace and historical beauty of Szechenyi Bath.The Bath is a medicinal bath and its water is supplied by two thermal springs, their temperatures are 74 °C (165 °F) and 77 °C (171 °F). It is the largest medical bath in Europe..
Rudas Baths
Rudas Thermal Bath was built in the early 16th century, during the time of the Turkish occupation. Its central part includes an octagonal pool covered by a 10 meter diameter dome. A therapeutic swimming pool and sauna was added in the end of the 19th century. The bath also has a complex physiotherapeutic section, as well as a drinking hall, offering drinking cures from three water springs: These water springs are named Hungária, Attila and Juventus.
Gellerts Bath (Palace of Bath)
Called as the "Palace of Bath" beacuse of it s architecture. A almost 100 year old bath which was founded in 1918 is offering medical water treatment as the other baths in Budapest. It is the most known and expensive one. because of its architecure. The bath is part of the Gellert Hotel, which was the icon of Budapest hotels for nearly 100 years.
